Brayden's Room

Brayden's room was our next room to get finished. He chose to stick with his space theme, but added the touch of a globe/space fan, and matching wall decals.

Teaching the Meaning of Thanksgiving

Brayden has a bear that tells the entire Thanksgiving Story. We also have a Tee Pee (part of the whole "Peter Pan birthday extravaganza"!). So, what do you get when a 6 year old comes up with a plan to use the 2 things together? Why, him teaching his little brother all about the First Thanksgiving, of course!!!!

Chief Talks-A-Lot and his right hand man, Little Bull Head, hanging out in the tee pee and listening to the story.

Playroom

The boys are so excited to have a room (beside their's) to play in- we made it one of our top priorities to get that room finished first, as we attempt to settle in and make the new house a home. They chose to go with a castle theme - I decided to be boring and leave the walls off white incase they change their mind in a few years!

First Date

Jason and I were able to enjoy our very first Date Night since the move. His new boss was hosting a (pre) wedding reception at one of St. Louis' most acclaimed restaurants- rented out the whole place, formal attire requested. It was beautiful- not a single detail overlooked. A perfect night!

Our Kid has Character

Brayden has been out of school all week with H1N1 (Swine Flu). He is feeling much better, and looking forward to get back on Monday. One of the things he was most upset about missing was the monthly School Wide Assembly, where the whole school gets together and celebrates students that represent each of the characteristics his school emphasis (Friendship, Hard Work, Enthusiasm, etc.). These students are elected each month by faculty, staff, and peers.

Much to our surprise, his teacher called a little while ago, and asked if she could drop something off on her way home from work. Seems that Brayden got his name called out, in front of the whole school, and missed it. So, she wanted to make a special trip to tell him how proud she was of him, and congratulate him.

Way to go Brayden!! We are SO proud of you!
