We woke up this morning to a blanket of snow on the ground. Brayden was so excited to go outside to play. I got him all bundled up, which took about 15 minutes, and sent him out into the winter wonderland in our back yard. He had big plans- he was going to build snowmen, make snow angels, and stay out all day long. That lasted all of 5 minutes, when he came to the back door saying "I am all done, the snow is cold- I'm ready for hot chocolate now." We have reassured him that he can have hot chocolate without having to go through the hassle of dressing as if he were heading out on an Arctic expedition. Nonetheless, the excitement he had was wonderful.
Another quick story about our little guy from today. (Cracks me up sometimes!) He was coloring during Sunday School, and he kept using the brown marker. His Sunday School teacher asked, "Are you having a brown phase?". Brayden responded, quite frankly, "No, I don't have a brown face!! Only brown hair!". Just had to share that one.
I will try to be better about keeping up on this blogging thing. Not much too exciting has been going on around here. I am feeling a bit better everyday. We did have a doctor's appointment this week, and the baby is doing very well! The ultrasound of the baby showed that it is actually measuring in a whole week ahead of where we should be. They upped my due date by 5 days. So, that was reassuring to know that despite what I have gone through that the little one is thriving. I promise I will get ultrasound pictures up soon. We have our new scanner but haven't set it up yet due to things being torn up around here with home improvement projects galore!
