Just Having Some Fun

We had a pretty good week around here. Good behavior = Fun things to do for Brayden.

On Tuesday we went to a local pizza restaurant, with some other kids from our Mom's Group, for a "backstage tour" and lunch. The restaurant had told our group that the kids would get to make their pizzas, but that was a miscommunication. Oh well, they had fun seeing how the pizzas get made, and eating the free pizza they gave us as a "consolation".

Thursday was our Book Cook's class. This week they got to make pancakes. Brayden just loves that class, and his teacher, Miss Michelle. He ate 4 blueberry pancakes..... and Rhylan also ate an entire pancake!

Re-reading the story from Book Cooks class with Zach and Audrey

After Book Cooks, Brayden got to go to the mall with his friends, Zachary and Audrey. They had a great time playing- the Easter Bunny even showed up to visit the play area! After a long playtime, the three of them ate lunch together at their very own "big kids" table. (Yes, you read that right, Brayden ate lunch after consuming 4 pancakes as a mid morning snack. His non stop eating, and the debt that it is going to someday cause us, well that is a blog entry in and of itself.......)

Friday was another fun and busy day, followed by dinner out with friends. The kids had so much fun together, and Rhylan was his usual flirtatious self. The waitress even came over and sat down with us, and picked him right up (without asking, but that's ok) to play with him. While there, he also plowed through his very first flour tortilla (the entire thing!) and my whole side of re-fried beans. I am sensing another Brayden size appetite on our hands!(mmmmm..... tortilla!)

Lastly, Brayden has been spending much more time building with blocks lately. He has been choosing this over anything else- including TV/movies in his free time. You can definitely tell who his Daddy is, as it seems that he may have inherited a little bit of a predisposition toward engineering! Check out his "fort" that he made- I can't get over the symmetry!

This is just one example. We have had our living room filled with bridges, parking garages, and several other structures lately. When did my baby get so grown up. Doesn't seem that long ago that he was playing with blocks the way Rhylan does- chewing on them!

No worries that Brayden has gotten all serious on us though. He is still crazy pretty much all the time.
