Tournament Champs!!

Jason's team pulled it off and won the whole tournament today! I am so happy for him, he has really put a lot of work into the tournament and had some obstacles to overcome with getting his team to come together.

Today's win was even more special because of the sentimental aspect of it. Last year, right after the baseball season, one of the coaches of the team died very suddenly. It was very hard on Jason. This year's tournament was in honor of him- The First Annual Mike Phillips Memorial Wooden Bat Tournament- and their team had never won the tournament in the past. The boys played their hearts out to win this in his honor, and it was a pretty emotional win for the coaches, wives, parent's, and boys. Mike's daughter presented a wooden bat to the team, which the coaches in turn gave back to Mike's wife to have.
